Circulair bio-composiet Duplicor®
Environmentally unfriendly materials in the facade and roof construction market are characterised by being heavy, space-consuming, difficult to transport, have a high CO2 footprint and are often poorly or not at all recyclable or reusable. In response, Holland Composites is developing bio-composite under the title "Duplicor" based on biological resin derived from agrowaste from the food industry and recycled foam from PET bottles. The product is more sustainable due to a lower CO2 footprint and is recyclable.
Within this project, Holland Composites aims to set up a completely new automated and digitised production process that will allow it to produce efficiently. To finance this project, Holland Composites will receive €271,135.26 in ERDF support. The project started on 1 March 2021 and will run until 31 December 2022.
Kansen voor West is the joint investment programme of the four Randstad provinces and the four major cities. It deploys ERDF funding for projects that support innovative SMEs, contribute to a low-carbon economy or promote sustainable urban development.
