The Urban Woods Delft is een hightech appartementencomplex met 10 verdiepingen. Beton is er nauwelijks, het gebouw wordt namelijk opgetrokken uit resten van houtpallets en sloophout.
Bio-composite façade solutions
Duplicor® is a good alternative to 'standard' façade solutions. For both new construction and renovation, this building material offers a whole range of advantages. In particular, its light weight and high insulation value are a huge plus for high-rise façade applications.
Thin façade shell with unrivalled environment performance class
Because the various materials of a composite sandwich element are very efficiently made into a complete element, we can offer a thinner façade shell with the same insulation value as conventional façade solutions. The advantage: more m2 of floor area per storey for the same GFA.
The environmental performance class expressed in CO2 consumption per kg of product, is low and unrivalled compared to conventional façade solutions in HSB concrete or aluminium. CE-Delft carried out a study on this, the LCA report can be downloaded here.
